Sketchworks is currently hiring for the following positions:

Project Architect

The PA will lead architectural design projects from concept design through construction document production, coordinating all aspects of the design process and engineering consultants. Our PMs are working architects/designers which oversee project metrics, schedules, budgets and client management while also participating in the design and production activities.

Qualified candidates will have at least a Bachelor’s degree in architecture with eight or more years of commercial architectural experience. Licensure as an Architect is highly preferred but not required. This individual shall be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Photoshop software products. It is imperative that this individual be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a fantastic communicator.

Job related tasks include:

• Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
• Serve as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
• Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments. Estimate fees, determines scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts.
• Take an active role in project design, drawing production, specification writing, and coordination and quality control reviews.

Architectural Associate

An Architectural Associate II or III role includes responsibilities of design, drafting and document coordination which steer career growth into becoming a Registered Architect. This individual will work in a team atmosphere to solve design challenges, be knowledgeable in materials and construction methods, and assemble schematic and construction documents. Career development is encouraged, and the opportunity to participate in all aspects of a project will be given.

Qualified candidates will have a B.S.A.S., B.Arch or M.Arch degree or equivalent experience and shall be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and Adobe Photoshop software products. The ability to assemble construction documents, and produce necessary details is mandatory. It is also imperative that this individual be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a good communicator. Experience in the architectural field is required, three years minimum preferred.
