Little Lions Childcare is a facility under the ministry of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marathon City, Wisconsin. The facility opened in February of 2022 and welcomes children ages 6-weeks to 4-years-old. The project site is a steeply sloped piece of land across from the existing Marathon Area elementary school. St. Matthew’s goal for the building was to provide group childcare services currently not offered in their community, as well as the opportunity to grow the facility as they reached capacity. We achieved their goals by crafting a cheerful, efficient, and safe main level childcare facility with an exposed lower level.
